WORKERS’ COMPENSATION DEFENSE
We limit our practice to the defense of workers’ compensation related matters. All attorneys in the firm have participated in multiple trials defending employers, insurance carriers, public entities and uninsured employers. We also have extensive experience defending cases on behalf of municipalities and are intimately familiar with the unique issues involved in claims brought by safety members. We also represent numerous school districts and are familiar with the provisions of the Education Code relating to benefits for teachers.
In addition to handling all issues in a normal workers’ compensation matter, Martin J. Wall heads the firm’s subrogation department.
132a DISCRIMINATION SUITS AND SERIOUS & WILLFUL MISCONDUCT
Our firm has extensive experience defending employers in 132a Discrimination claims. We also represent employers in connection with Serious & Willful Misconduct allegations filed at the Appeals Board. We have tried many of these cases to conclusion and have obtained favorable results for our clients.
Aggressive and proactive steps are used to ensure coordination between the handling of the regular workers’ compensation case and the particular needs of the employer in these cases.
